Professor Mary Ann Lumsden is Honorary Professor of Gynaecology and Medical Education, Department of Reproductive & Maternal Medicine, University of Glasgow, United Kingdom. She has more than 25 years of experience as a senior clinical academic in menopause and menstrual disorders as well as chronic disease prevention in women in mid-life.
During her visit to HKUMed, Professor Lumsden delivered the Aw Boon Haw Memorial Lecture entitled ‘Menopausal Hormone Therapy: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly’, as well as three other guest lectures. She also had meetings with the teams at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, SClinMed to share her experiences on clinical service and research, and held workshops and tutorials with the Department’s trainees. Furthermore, she participated in teaching activities with medical students.
