Vision Matters: Glaucoma AI-ROTA Screening Project for 50+ Launch Ceremony

Orbis and the Department of Ophthalmology have collaborated to launch the Vision Matters: Glaucoma AI-ROTA Screening Project for 50+. The launch ceremony for this project was organised on 29 May 2023.

During the ceremony, Professor Chak-sing Lau 劉澤星, Dean of Medicine, expressed delight in partnering with Orbis in launching Vision Matters in order to reduce the dire impact of glaucoma. Professor Christopher Leung Kai-shun (梁啟信), Chairperson and Clinical Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology, emphasized the feature of the project – the deployment of ROTA (Retinal nerve fibre layer Optical Texture Analysis), a patented technology that aids the early diagnosis of glaucoma patients. Mr. Derek Hodkey, President and CEO of Orbis, elaborated on their philosophy of prioritizing investments in innovative technologies and quality research to address the challenges of blindness.
