The HKUMAA Band Show 2023 took place at Grappas’ Cellar on 17 June 2023, drawing approximately 90 medical alumni, students and friends together for an enjoyable Saturday afternoon filled with great music and nice food!
The band show featured not only the soulful performance by Dr Kenneth Liu （廖浩廉）, and the amazing voice by Dr David Fang （方津生） who sang with Dr Thomas Tsang’s （曾浩輝） wonderful piano accompaniment, but also band performances including the alumni acapella group Medipella and the student band Medici, who rocked the stage with their energetic performance. Last but not least the alumni band Synapse created memorable experience to all the audience.
HKUMAA President Dr Matthew Tsui （徐錫漢） welcomed the participants and remarked that it had been five years since the HKUMAA organised the last band show. He specially thanked Dr Victor Yeung （楊協和）and Dr Annabel Choy （蔡啟彤）, Chairperson and Member of the Programme Subcommittee respectively, for organising the Band Show, and Dr Marco Ho （何學工）, Member of Executive Committee, for being the event MC.
