From February to April 2021, the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, HKUMed, launched the 10-episode series "HKU Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology – 60th Anniversary Series" with RTHK’s Healthpedia. The programme was broadcasted live on RTHK 31 and RTHK Radio 1 every Wednesday.
The series aimed to enhance public knowledge of orthopaedics, explain the development of medical treatments over the past decade, and explore how the latest technology can be applied to the medical field. In the programme, members from the Department shared a great deal about common bone-related illnesses in Hong Kong and responded to phone-in questions from the public.
