The annual Hong Kong Pathology Forum, which promotes communication among pathology professionals and other members of the medical community, was held by the Department of Pathology virtually on 30 January 2021 via Zoom. This year's forum focused on the developments of modern pathology in liver, genetics, and genomics, as well as the development of artificial intelligence and computational pathology.
Notable luminaries Professor Michael Torbenson of Mayo Clinic (USA) and Dr Cheng-Han Lee of University of British Columbia (Canada) gave the Hou Pao-Chang Medical Memorial Fund Lecture and the James Gibson Lecture, respectively.
More than 450 delegates attended the online forum, including pathologists, physicians, and allied health professionals.
