A talk on organic gardening, entitled “Connecting with Nature: A Step to a Healthier Lifestyle”, was held on 1 May 2021 by the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (HKAM), HKU Medical Alumni Association (HKUMAA) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong Medical Alumni Association. Two experienced planters, Dr Arthur van Langenberg (MBBS 1962, Specialist in General Surgery) and Dr Tom Fu-tak Ho (Dentist, Specialist in Endodontics) shared their wonderful journey in organic gardening, along with invaluable tips for beginners. The talk was hosted at HKAM and drew more than 70 medical professionals who turned out in person or via Zoom. On-site participants had the privilege of visiting HKAM’s roof garden, which features a beautiful variety of potted organic plants.
