The 2020 Research Postgraduate Symposium (RPS) took place on 2 and 3 December 2020. This year the symposium went virtual for the first time, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. The student-led event was extremely successful, attracting over 200 attendees at each of the online plenary lectures. The lectures featured international speakers Professor Edward C Holmes, The University of Sydney, Australia; Dr Jacob H Hanna, Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel; and Professor Stefan Mundlos, Institute for Medical and Human Genetics & Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Germany. In addition to this were poster and oral presentations by the Faculty's MPhil and PhD students. We want to give our warm congratulations to the eight winners for the best oral presentations and the sixteen winners for the best poster presentations.
