Co-organising with the Asia Pacific Spine Society and Spine Chapter, the Hong Kong Orthopaedic Association, the APSS-HKU Basic Spine Course was held on 11 September 2021 in Hyatt Regency Hong Kong. The course aims to provide the exposure to the basic surgical techniques required in spine surgery and hands-on in spinal instrumentation using saw bones. During the course, higher orthopaedic trainees were engaged in case discussions and lectures in degenerative, deformity and trauma which were delivered by local and overseas speakers. Additionally, sawbone workshop was also carried out by industry sponsors.
