From May to July 2021, we co-organised a lecture series - ‘HKU Bone & Muscle Health Series’, with the Hong Kong Medical Association (HKMA) and Hong Kong St. John Ambulance (St. John), in which orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists were invited to deliver a total of six lectures. The lecture topics covered joint replacement surgery, spinal disease and fragile fractures, etc to raise the awareness of skeletal problems more effectively and tackle confusions about orthopaedics. Over 1,500 online participants attended the lectures. It was hoped that the public would pay extra attention to bone and arthrosis health and start preventing those problems at an early stage.
