School of Nursing supported Smoke-free Elite Teens Programme organised by Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health (COSH) to promote smoke-free culture. Around 100 F.2-F.5 secondary students participated each day. Associate Professor Dr Kelvin Wang Man-ping (王文炳) and Assistant Professor Dr Derek Cheung Yee-tak (張懿德) introduced the programmes offered at the School of Nursing, HKU's involvement in tobacco control development, smoking cessation and smoke-free culture. Students also had a mini tour of the medical campus including the Li Shu Fan Medical Foundation Nursing Clinical Skills Laboratory and Simulation Training Centre to learn about the latest teaching equipment and facilities, followed by a workshop on smoking cessation and counselling.
