The School of Public Health kicked off a series of BASc Global Health and Development (GHD) Student Webinars in March 2021. This webinar series aims to offer a platform for engaging students, scholars and public health practitioners as well as disseminating information about public and global health careers. The third webinar of the series was held on 8 June 2021 with Ms Leontine Chuang (JD), Chief Executive Officer of the American Club Foundation (ACF), as our guest speaker.
During the webinar, Ms Chuang shared her career journey as she started with practicing law and then moved into working in inter-governmental organisations and NGOs, during which she has impacted the lives of many refugees and asylum seekers. Towards the end of the webinar, she also offered insightful advice on building a career in global and public health.
