Teenage Orthopod Scheme is known as the most prestigious teenage educational programmes of the Department. It has reached its 10th Anniversary in 2021. In this one-week programme, the students were led by doctors while engaging in different activities such as live surgical demonstrations and outpatient clinic telemedicine sessions. Besides, the students also got the opportunity to participate in hands-on orthopaedic workshops. For example, the application of plaster casts and the fixation of fractures using implants and power tools. Positive responses were received that the programme aroused students’ interest in medicine and prepare for themselves as a MBBS student in the future.
