The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology organised a valedictory lecture to be delivered by Professor Hextan Ngan Yuen-sheung （顏婉嫦）. After serving the Department for 36 years, Professor Ngan retired in July 2021. Professor Ngan was the Head of the Department from January 2009 to June 2021. Being an impactful figure in the world arena, particularly in the field of gynaecological oncology, she has led the Department in making tremendous developments and achievements in the discipline. Within the Department, she reformed the student assessment scheme, and played pivotal efforts in establishing our services at the HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. Professor Ngan shared with us her experience and vision in her lecture entitled ‘Evolution in the Management of Gynaecological Cancers’.
