In March 2022, the HKU Li Shu Fan Medical Foundation Nursing Clinical Skills Laboratory and Simulation Training Centre of the School of Nursing of HKUMed is the first simulation laboratory in universities in Hong Kong accredited by the Association for Simulated Practice in Healthcare (ASPiH). This is a recognition for the School’s effort in the development and application of simulation-based education (SBE) and technology enhanced learning (TEL) for the education and training of the healthcare workforce and patient safety improvement. The Accreditation Panel commented that the School is ‘an impressive organisation and obviously a leader of simulation-based education in Southeast Asia and is entirely worthy of receiving this accreditation.’
