The State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (SKLLR) Virtual Seminar 2022 was held on 24 February 2022 to promote academic exchange in liver research and nurture young researchers. The Department of Pathology was honored to have Professor Mathias Heikenwälder of the German Cancer Research Center, Germany and Professor Peter Robert Galle of Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany, as our speakers. They are world-renowned scholars in basic immunology studies and the latest treatments in hepatocellular carcinoma respectively, and shared their cutting-edge findings on ‘NASH and HCC’ and ‘The risk of HCCin NAFLD’ respectively. The seminar attracted more than 60 online participants including clinicians, academics and research postgraduate students.
