The annual Family Medicine Teachers’ Meeting 2021 was successfully held on 11 December 2021 by teleconference, attended by over sixty honorary family medicine (FM) teachers. Professor Julia Blitz, Emeritus Professor in Family Medicine, Stellenbosch University, South Africa, delivered a keynote on ‘The Clinical Detective’ to showcase how to cultivate clinical reasoning in medical students through systematic teaching in the clinical setting. Dr Linda Chan (陳美珍), Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care (FMPC) and Bau Institute of Medical & Health Sciences Education (BIMHSE) shared the results on a pilot study on ‘Resilience of HKU Medical Educators’. The meeting ended with the highlight of sharing by FM teachers and medical students on their experience in the ‘Professionalism in Practice’ programme. The Department of FMPC thanked the honorary teachers for their continuing support to our undergraduate teaching despite COVID-19.
