Experts from Department of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care and School of Nursing, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, HKU jointly develop the HKU Diabetes Risk Score Apps (HKUDRS).

A multidisciplinary research team of the Faculty: (Left) Dr Yeung Chun-yip, Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of Department of Medicine, (Center) Dr Angela Leung Yee-man, Assistant Professor of School of Nursing, and (Right) Professor Cindy Lam Lo-kuen, Danny D B Ho Professor in Family Medicine, Clinical Professor and Head of Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, HKU.

Dr Angela Leung Yee-man, Assistant Professor of School of Nursing, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, HKU introduces the HKU Diabetes Risk Score Apps (HKUDRS) which helps assess citizens’ risks of developing diabetes.

Research team led by Professor Cindy Lam Lo-kuen, Danny D B Ho Professor in Family Medicine, Clinical Professor and Head of Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, HKU finds that 1 in every 5.5 Hong Kong drivers have latent diabetes or pre-diabetes.
